Citan Uzuki (japanese: Shitan Uzuki) is an eccentric and mischievous doctor who lives up the mountain path near Lahan with his wife, Yui, and his daughter, Midori. His living up on top of the mountain may seem weird at first, but after Fei destroys Lahan, you'll realize that his house was spared from the destruction. It is as if he's been expecting it. He assists Fei and acts like his guardian but later on, a mysterious side to him will gradually unravel. Citan loves to tinker on machines and has been very good at it.

Later in the game, Citan is revealed as having the name Hyuga. This was upon meeting Sigurd, who appears to be an old acquaintance of his. As the game progresses, Citan is completely unmasked and is revealed as the Solarian Third-class citizen born in the Solarian capital of Etrenank, whose real name was Hyuga Ricdeau. While in Solaris, he had a troublesome life, until he was accepted to the Jugend Military Academy, thanks to his high intelligence. In the Jugend, he became a member of Jesiah's group (The Elements), along with Sigurd Harcourt, and Kahran Ramsus. Eventually, Sigurd and Jesiah left Solaris, Ramsus was promoted into a high Gebler Officer, while Citan was appointed into a Solarian Guardian Angel. As the Solarian Guardian Angel, he carried out orders given to him directly by Emperor Cain and the Gazel Ministry. Later, though it was not mentioned in the game, it was said in other resources that he led an assault mission to Shevat. There he fought with Yui; however the two fell in love. Since then, Citan promised Yui's grandfather, Wiseman Gaspar, to never use a sword to kill again. Citan and Yui were then married and were bless with a daughter. Citan later received instructions from Cain to watch over Fei (The Contact) to see if he would bring relief or destruction. He adopted the name Citan Uzuki and moved with his family to Lahan so he could be close to Fei, watching over him. This is also the reason why Citan has a huge telescope on his house at the mountain top. As the guardian angel, he reports to Emperor Cain about Fei, while at the same time, acting as Fei's trusted friend. His allegiance toward Solaris will, however, shift completely during the course of the story. As a character, he possesses superior intelligence and had been often times involve in planning. He also has a strong sense of morality, and would never break a promise under nearly any circumstances; however when the situation deteriorated for the worse, he takes up the sword again with the approval of Yui.

Citan is undoubtedly one of the most powerful allies of Fei. He is also one of the fastest characters in the game. His attack power is decent, almost equal to Fei's, and even surpasses everyone once he acquires the sword. He is also good at evading attacks, most especially when equipped with the Evasion Ring. Citan starts with blindingly swift hand to hand combat style, and is later on transformed into a sword wielding fighter. As a doctor, his ether specials are called "Arcane". It is made up of support ethers beginning with the ability to heal. He later on acquires his techniques he learned while he was still a member of The Elements, in which he is able to block certain elemental ethers in exchange for another elemental weakness. He even learns to remove PHY and MNT status ailments, and later on gains the ability which is similar to Fei's Yin and Yang power, and the ability to boost speed.

Attacks

There are different combinations to Citan's attack. While unarmed, the Triangle initiates fist and hand attacks, the Square activates the kicks and the X launches a powerful palm attack. With the sword, all three types of buttons initiate the sword attack but wields the sword in different fashions.

Death Blows

Citan has 7 standard deathblows. Four additional ether-imbued ones will be granted after Gaspar removes his Limiter. Citan of course, has two forms, the unarmed one and the sword-wielding type which occurs after he acquires his sword. Citan's deathblows do change when he's armed. Arcane

Arcane can be also referred to as Ether Alchemy. Arcane arts consumes ether points or EP. Citan's arcane arts are all made up of support ethers ranging from healing, curing status ailments, ether elemental defense trading, attack and defense trading, up to speed boosting.
