Xenogears

Lucca is a character from the game Chrono Trigger who appeared in the village of Lahan early in Xenogears. She gives a tutorial about the basics of Xenogear's battle system. Aside from that, nothing is known more about her, except maybe for the presumption that she got blown up along with Lahan when Fei's gear went berserk, but that may not be the case also.

In Chrono Trigger, Lucca is an inventor like her father, Taban. She is the childhood friend of Chrono and is a formidable fighter herself. She is a long range combatant that uses a gun for regular combat and a hammer at close range. She may not be more of a physically strong type of character but her magics and techs make her a dangerous one. Most of her attacks deal fire damage.

Lucca's involvement in Xenogears is due to the fact that Masato Kato, one of the writers of Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross, was the one who designed the village of Lahan.

When Claudia understood the nature of her husband's research, and that herself and Maria were the cause of it, she despaired. When she knew that he was near the final stage of his research, she wondered if she might not take both the prototype and Maria and escape and proposed this to Nikolai. However, to activate the prototype for Maria, Maria's brain must be synchronized with the nervous system and brain wave patterns to be able to operate it. Claudia wished that her own brain be used, and amidst great anguish, Doctor Nikolai resolved to do this. Claudia was secretly fused with the prototype Seibzehn, and an accident was caused on purpose, creating the circumstances of her death. After this, when Seibzehn was completed, using his great skill Doctor Nikolai hid the M Plan inside Seibzehn's base program, entrusting it to take Maria and escape. He secretly contacted his Grandfather Balthasar, entrusting him to be Maria's guardian after the escape. Because Claudia, as her mother, had wanted to protect Maria, she desired fusion with Seibzehn. Maria continues to think her mother died in an accident, but from time to time she can feel something inside Seibzehn different from her father. Perhaps it is her mother's will.

A young woman from Lahan village who is also the older sister of Dan. She is engaged to marry Timothy, another Lahan villager and Fei's best friend. However, she harbors romantic feelings for Fei, and expresses some regret that if only he had come to Lahan sooner and thereby had the chance to forge a stronger relationship between the two of them, she might have married Fei instead.

Tragically, Alice was killed along with Timothy and the other Lahan villagers during a gear battle that resulted to Fei's uncontrolled outburst of energy, which destroyed the entire village and decimated a large portion of its population. Alice was among to be consumed and killed by Fei's raging powers.

Timothy is one of Fei's close friends in Lahan. He and Alice provided Fei with constant care and companionship. Earlier in the story, he tried to get along with Dan, who happens to be Alice's little brother. He and Alice were about to get married when a contingent of gears landed in Lahan and began fighting. He was killed by Grahf's soldiers while trying to rescue Dan. His death served as the catalyst in the awakening of Fei's other self.

Dan is a mischievous young boy and the little brother of Alice. He idolizes Fei and wants him to marry his sister. But, after the Lahan incident that resulted to Alice's death, he blamed Fei and even went as far as fighting him in the Aveh Martial Arts Tournament. Dan always brings with him his sister's wedding dress, which he had manage to save before Lahan was destroyed. He gives this to Fei at the tournament to constantly remind him of what he did to Alice. It took some time for Dan to forget his grudges, but after he knew about the other personality of Fei, and with the help of Midori's urging, he learned to pity Fei and finally forgives him.

Chief Lee is the wise elder of Lahan Village. He was the one whom Wiseman entrusted Fei to three years before the Lahan incident. Lee took Fei in, helped him recover and raised him like he was his own son. Nothing much is known about Lee except that early in the game, he made an impression that he was a playboy back in his younger years. He seems like a tender-hearted old man who appears funny, but he is the trusted chief of the village and as such, he takes the responsibility of managing the community.

Chief Lee died along with some of the villagers when Lahan village was destroyed by Fei's sudden berserk.

Primera is Billy Lee Black's young sister. She was born a while after her family left Solaris for the Aquvy Isles. She lost the ability to speak after the shock of witnessing their mother's brutal death at the hands of the Reapers. She was only heard speaking again after Billy and their father Jessie, teamed up and defeated Bishop Stone.

Despite the bad memories she endured upon her mother's untimely death, Primera presents a light-hearted countenance, and readily accepts good people, while stubbornly rejects the bad ones. It was no coincidence that she never liked Bishop Stone although she was completely unaware of the secrets that befalls the bishop and despite the fact that he helped them. Unlike Billy, Primera accepts and loves his father very much, and her innocent, childish perception leads her to accept their father's much-changed appearance without missing a beat. As a matter of fact, the first word she utters to signal her recovery from muteness was "papa," much to Billy's chagrin. Her brother is, however, the one who took care of her while they were both alone and is one of the most important people in Primera's life, to which she loves him intensely.

Jesiah Blanche "Jessie or Jesse" is the oldest of the former Elements and also happens to be Billy and Primera's father. He was born in Etrenank, the capital of the Sacred Empire of Solaris. He's first class citizen, and one of Jugend's top students. Racquel and Stein were among his classmates. While in Jugend, he also met Ramsus, who shared his dissatisfaction with Solaris' policies for advancement, and together they created the elite team called "the Elements," and recruited Hyuga and Sigurd. Later on, he married Racquel, abandoned Solaris and went to the surface. It was said that Racquel encouraged him to make his change, insisting he experience the truth of the discrimination the lower classes lived with.

Jesiah was expected to be the next commander of Gebler, but the closer he got to central power, the more he learned about the nature of the government, and the M Plan or otherwise known as Malakh Plan. He took off from Solaris along with his family and established in Aquvy. There, Jesiah's first target for information was Maria Balthasar, whose escape he learned about in his research back home. He met Gaspar and fought against Solaris during the Third Invasion, helping Shevat's guerrilla forces attack a Solarian surface base and stealing Buntline in the process.

After the Invasion, Jesiah arranged his disappearance in secret with his wife so his family wouldn't be targeted by the agents he was sure Solaris would send after them. During this period he met and befriended operative Joshua Black, who agreed to guide him to Shevat. Unfortunately Joshua was wounded while they were fleeing from Solarian agents, and before he died, he suggested to Jesiah to take on his features, fingerprints, and name to continue his work. Jesiah complied, and continued his mission. Jessie soon found out that his wife was murdered. When he returned home, his son Billy was already cold to him, blaming and hating him for not being there when they needed him the most. Primera recognizes him as her father and loves him, but Billy is unwilling to trust him. Their conflict is only heated up by his disruptive behavior and distrust of the Ethos to which Billy had become a prominent member of.

Jessiah had a heated rivalry with his fellow Solarian soldier Isaac Stein (Later Ethos Bishop Isaac Stone), and it drove Stein mad for always surpassing him. Stein later on burst out his frustrations. Jessiah became an Element and Stein didn't, he became a Gebler commander and Stein didn't, and worst of all he won the love of Racquel whom Stein also cherished. Jessie suffered Stein's eventual wrath when he followed him to the surface and used Wels to have Racquel brutally murdered, then swooped in under the guise of a benevolent bishop of the Ethos to console his children and turned Billy against him.

Marguerite "Margie" Fatima is Bartholemew's (Bart's) first cousin and the reigning Mother of Nisan. Both of her parents, Elvira Fatima, the Holy Mother, and her father Nisan Bishop Francis Fatima, were murdered during Shakhan's quest for the Fatima Jasper, and for this reason Margie was forced to take her mother's place at the tender age of ten.

Most often, Margie acts childish and reckless, but she is a brave and responsible girl who fits the office of the Holy Mother very well despite of her young age.

During the coup, Margie and Bart were both imprisoned and interrogated by Shakhan, but they both display amazingly strong will and never gave in to him. Maison, along with Sigurd, saved both of them, and Margie was returned to Nisan. She was later recaptured by Shakhan, and Bart had to save her again by sneaking into the castle where she was held captive.

Margie possesses magical powers of healing and the ability to call rats. She and Bart have an arranged marriage. They are also the last living descendants of their lineage.

Wiseman is the masked, hooded, and caped figure who appears several times throughout the game and gives Fei some lessons in martial arts and some advice. Sometimes he appears to fight him in a form of a battle tutorial and other times he directly helps Fei and his group, such as when he appeared in Zeboim and fought to contain Id while allowing Fei's friends to escape. He and Fei first met in Aveh's martial arts tournament where they even clashed in the finals. Fei was not even able to hit Wiseman but won the fight when the latter surprisingly withdraws. Then he appeared again before Fei's battle with Rico, where he taught Fei a valuable lesson in gear combat and also allowing Fei to witness him use the same martial arts Fei uses. It is later found out that he was the one who brought Fei to Lahan. He introduces himself as Fei's father's ally. He also claimed to have trained along with Fei's father. He also happens to work for Shevat as one of the Queen's informant and advisors. He was also the one who brought Chu-chu and his kind into Shevat, as a matter of fact, he is fascinated with the creatures that he keeps a Chu-chu idol in his secret hideout.

When Id was about to take over Fei, he tried to save Fei, and was revealed as Khan Wong (Fei's biological father). It was further known that Wiseman is also Grahf, the one who had taken possession of Khan's body. Khan's will allowed him to periodically break free of Grahf's control and it is during these times that he appeared as Wiseman.

Maison is the loyal butler of the royal Fatima Family of Aveh. His loyalty to Bart and his family is steadfast that even during Shakhan's coup, he was one of those who aided Bart and Marguerite escape. His talent seems to be more on bartending and managing the royal family's affairs, but when Bart and his friends once got into trouble with Shakhan and his guards, he was able to display skills in operating machines such as the Land Crab (Citan's transport machine) and thus was able to save them with it.

Having served the Fatimas for so long, Maison knows a lot about the royal family and some of their secrets. Maison often acts like a guardian and adviser to Bart, though the latter often disobeys him.
